PNC Offers Electrical Safety and Arc Flash Training
Westville - Purdue University North Central Center for Occupational Safety & Health has been awarded a Susan Harwood OSHA Training Grant that provides funding for the development and delivery of programming in electrical safety and arc flash training at little or no cost to the participant.
Training is designed on the hazards of electricity and arc flash. It fulfills the new OSHA electrical standard requirements for three distinct groups of workers - an eight-hour qualified worker and train-the-trainer course; a four-hour program for affected workers; a four-hour program for outreach trainers, and a one-hour update training to 30-hour card holders in their jurisdictions around the State of Indiana.
Training materials for affected workers will be provided in English and Spanish.
Training will be in six key locations around the state of Indiana. Participants are encouraged to register early, seating is limited.
Northwest Indiana training will be at PNC - Porter County in Valparaiso on April 18 and at the Construction Advancement Foundation in Portage on April 25.
