PNC Hosts Technical Assistance Program Office on Campus
Westville – Purdue University North Central now hosts a Purdue Technical Assistance Program (TAP) office on site. This move will allow TAP Senior Account Manager Ty Putrich to work closely with the PNC Center for Economic Development and Research (CEDaR) and the PNC Office of Engagement in collaborating with the surrounding community on issues of business and economic development.
“Locating the TAP office here confirms PNC's commitment to supporting and advancing the economic development of Northwest Indiana ,” said PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin. “We are happy to have Ty available to the community as a resource for our economic development endeavors.”
The PNC TAP office will provide a central location to serve communities throughout Northwest Indiana . As appropriate, TAP and CEDaR will utilize PNC faculty expertise on projects and events as they arise. Both TAP and CEDaR have the potential to make a significant impact in Northwest Indiana .
Purdue created TAP in 1986 and since then TAP has carried out its mission to advance Indiana 's economic prosperity and quality of life. Nine TAP offices are located throughout the state. Through the years, TAP has served thousands of Indiana employers, including various companies, healthcare providers and governmental organizations. TAP regularly utilizes Purdue faculty, staff and students to serve its constituents.
In the coming weeks Putrich will be introducing himself to our local business and community leaders as he builds relationships and networks with those who are concerned about the economic future of our area. Contact Putrich at telephone 785-5200, ext. 5638 or tputrich@purdue.edu . His office is located on the PNC Westville campus in Schwarz Hall, Room S-127F. The TAP website is www.tap.purdue.edu/.
