PNC Student Government Association Hosts Open Forum
Westville – Purdue University North Central Student Government Association Open Forums Committee will present an open forum on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Library-Student-Faculty Building Assembly Hall, Room 02. The topic of discussion will be the Iraq troop withdrawal and veterans affairs, a panel discussion featuring Dr. Kim Scipes, associate professor of Sociology; Mark Strudas, Veterans Club president and PNC Veterans Program coordinator; Vincent Emanuele, Veterans Club member and John Herman, Veterans Club secretary.
If time allows, there will be a question and answer period. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The SGA Open Forum Series is designed to create meaningful dialogue about current events and relevant issues between students, faculty, staff and community members. Previous events for the 2011-2012 academic year have included a September forum on the recent United States credit downgrade and an October forum on the effects of the economic downturns on regional, state, and national crime trends.
Further information may be obtained by contacting Cassandra Chester, Open Forum Committee chair, at email@example.com . Persons with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Chester.
