PNC Student Inducted in Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society

WESTVILLE – The Purdue University North Central chapter of Phi Eta Sigma national honor society recently welcomed 19 new members.

Phi Eta Sigma was founded nationally in 1923 to encourage and recognize high scholastic achievement among members of the freshman class. Its membership is open to all freshmen who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Phi Eta Sigma is the third most senior member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Lifetime membership is conferred upon induction.

The newly inducted members are: James Eilers, LaPorte; Vincent Emanuele, Chesterton; Russell Gasper, Valparaiso; Stephanie Hailey, Portage; Kate Johnson, LaPorte; Kathryne Kraus, LaPorte; Stephanie Kuziela, Westville; Arie Lyles, Michigan City; Kyle Mason, LaPorte; Sarah Miller, Valparaiso; Kevin Nelson, Michigan City; Nicole Nelson, Portage; Kira Saary, Valparaiso; Ricardo Serrano, Michigan City; Krystal Sherland, Monterey; Stacy Stujenske, LaPorte; Aleah Turner, Hobart; Allison Van Zee, Westville; Sara Watterson, LaPorte and Quincy Woodard, Westville.

Officers are: President J. Athena Evan, Valparaiso; Vice President Allie F. Novak, LaPorte; Secretary Melissa L. Bacon, New Carlisle; Treasurer Jonathan R. Sichtermann, Valparaiso.
