Purdue North Central Welcomes New Faculty Members

Westville - Purdue University North Central welcomes new faculty members for the 2008 – 2009 academic year. They are:
Bobbi J. Herron, assistant professor of Nursing. She earned a master's degree and bachelor's degree in Nursing from Purdue University Calumet. Most recently she held a position as a heart failure clinical nurse specialist at St. Mary Medical Center Community Healthcare Systems in Hobart .
Jerry G. Holt, visiting assistant professor of English. He has a Ph.D. and master's degree in English from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor's degree in English from Oklahoma State University . He most recently served as dean of Arts, Sciences and Integrated Studies at Central Ohio Technical College .
Peter J. Linden, visiting assistant professor of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from
Loyola University , Chicago . He also earned an MBA from North Park University , Chicago and has a Bachelor's degree in Management from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago . Most recently was an associate professor of Business Education at Chicago State University . He also served as program coordinator for Hospitality Management and coordinator for Business Education.
Cynthia Montgomery, assistant professor of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree and Family Nurse Practitioner credentials from Valparaiso University . Most recently she was a staff nurse in the Neuro/Spine ICU at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago , and was a member of the full-time nursing faculty member at the University of St. Francis in Crown Point .
Anthony B. Sindone, visiting assistant professor of Economics. He earned his master's degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and his bachelor's degree in Economics from California State University . Most recently, he taught at Indiana University South Bend and the University of Notre Dame.
Li Tan, assistant professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology. Tan was granted a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico . Most recently Tan served as senior professor and chair of communications and signal processing sequence at DeVry University in Atlanta .
Sarah E. White, visiting assistant professor of English Composition. She earned a Master's of Fine Arts degree in English (Creative Writing) from Purdue University in West Lafayette , as well as a Master's degree in English from Iowa State University of Science and Technology. She holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in English and creative writing from Bowling Green State University in Ohio .
Educators who served as PNC visiting assistant professors have been promoted to tenure-track faculty positions. They are:

Karen Klosinski-Schooley, to assistant professor of Nursing
Angela Schooley, to assistant professor of Nursing
