THE 58th SINAI FORUM SEASON OPENS SEPTEMBER 18
The 58th season of the Purdue University North Central Sinai Forum will open on Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. at Elston Middle School, 317 Detroit Street, in Michigan City with Torie Clarke addressing, “Twitter vs. Tanks: Who Wins in the 21 st Century?”
Clarke was the assistant secretary of defense and is currently a senior advisor for Comcast Corporation and on-air commentator for ABC. One of her most visible roles was as chief spokesperson for the Pentagon on 9/11 and at the beginning of the Iraq war. Clarke was architect of the program that "embedded" the media with troops in Iraq.
For more than two decades, Clarke has been on the leading edge of the transformation of the information environment. Her talents have helped politicians, industries and organizations harness the possibilities of the new communications landscape.
Clarke will share her insights with the Forum audience into how the popularity of social networking and cyberspace communications impact the way all types of battles are organized and fought. Merging her unique public and private sector service into this provocative program, she will discuss what the new age of 24/7 communication means to political, business and social interactions.
There will be a book signing after the program.
