PNC Softball Team Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Westville – Purdue University North Central women's softball team will be wearing their pink uniforms in support of Breast Cancer Awareness when they play Moraine Valley Community College on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Patriot Park in Michigan City . The day will also feature a walk to raise money for breast cancer research.

A Breast Cancer walk will start at 10:15 a.m. and participants may choose to walk one- or two-miles to raise money for breast cancer research.

A $10 donation will cover participation in the walk and admittance to the game. The first 100 people through the gate will receive a PNC shirt. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The first pitch of the softball game will be thrown at 11 a.m. by First Lady Nancy Dworkin, wife of PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin.

All PNC students who show their ID will get into the game with no charge.

Patriot Park is located at 2224 North 950 West in Michigan City , south of the I-94 and U.S. 421 interchange.
