photo of Alexander's Circus Zelda Werner - Alexander's Circus
Zelda Werner passed away recently. She was a celebrated public artist for almost 60 years. Her piece, "Alexander's Circus," was created in 1996 from painted aluminum. Its inviting, bright shape resembles a home or friendly animal, the colors evocative of Calder's work. It is on loan to PNC from the City of Evanston, with the cooperation of the Wood Street Gallery.
