| S. Thomas Scarff received his degree from the School of the Art Institute. His pieces, "Freedom" (1998) and "Rainbow Flyer" (1994) make use of multiple media. Freedom is made of ground stainless steel and patinaed bronze. Rainbow Flyer, an energy form frozen in time, combines aluminum, steel and Scarff's signature neon elements. Scarff is the curator-in-residence at Purdue University North Central and is the curator of Millennia Nexus. His studio is in Chicago's Old Town, and he has a residence in Michigan City, Indiana. | |
