Text Box: Jim was born in Valparaiso and was raised in the rural areas of Wanatah, Indiana. He graduated from LaCrosse High School and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, a month later. Jim and Kathy have a sixteen year old son, James, and have resided in North Judson at their present address for the last twenty-two years. His wife, Kathy, is employed at the Post Office in North Judson and works as a city carrier. Jim and Kathy recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
Immediately after Jim's high school graduation he gained employment in a factory in Valparaiso and became a machinist. About two years later, he found employment with the Town of North Judson on the street and utilities departments. He earned his state certifications for drinking water and wastewater and was promoted to the position of Town Superintendent at the age of twenty-two. During his more than fifteen year employment with North Judson, Jim worked as an EMT for the county ambulance service, was a volunteer fireman, attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and worked as a police officer for the town and the county, and became a state certified police firearms instructor. During the last two years with the town he was also given the responsibilities of the Town Marshal along with the Superintendent duties. He later accepted the position of Maintenance Director for the local school corporation and was employed in that position for over ten years. Jim is now in his third year here at PNC. He has earned an associate degree in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, and has extensive training in the environmental pollution treatment field. Jim is in the process of taking classes here at PNC to obtain a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently serving his ninth year as President of the North Judson Town Council and is the certified operator for the water and wastewater utilities for the community.
Jim particular enjoys boating, fishing and camping but also likes bicycling. He has flown powered parachutes and would like to get a private aircraft license someday. Among Jim's favorite mottos is "The best way to predict your future is to create it".

Text Box: Donna Smith-Hunsley grew up in New Buffalo and Union Mills. She has been married for ten years. Donna loves the antics of her three, almost four, year old daughter, Holleigh. Her husband built their home in the middle of a large wooded area approximately two miles from Oprah’s house in Rolling Prairie. They have lived there almost 10 years and Donna is still waiting for her husband to finish the basement!
Donna graduated from Ball State University with an Associate of Arts degree in Business and from Purdue University North Central with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree. She started at PNC in 1997 as the secretary for the Social Science Department, was promoted to Academic Advisor in the Business Department later in 1997 and has been in her current position of Educational Advisor in STE since 2001.
Her favorite PNC memory is the "Baby Shower Utility Cart Caper"! Only a handful of people will know what she is talking about. Makes you wonder, huh! Donna’s favorite things to do are spending time at the beach in New Buffalo traveling (she just got back from a fun trip to Maine) and working in her garden at home. Her absolute favorite food is warm, homemade bread.
Donna’s favorite quote is, "A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove…but the world may be a little different because I was important in the life of a child."

Text Box: Beth Rudnick has been a familiar face on the PNC campus for many years. She began as a student who acquired her Bachelor’s degree in English. Beth also received a Master of Liberal Studies degree from IUSB majoring in English and multicultural studies. Her rise to her lofty position as Academic Advisor in the Liberal Arts division began in a very unusual manner. One day Beth was lounging around in the student newspaper office on our campus, smoking and swearing (yes that was back when a person could light up inside!) when Dr. Jablon walked by the office. He stopped, stuck his head in the office and asked if Beth wanted a job, she replied yes and the rest is history (no pun intended!). Beth was one of the first professional advisors on campus and undoubtedly the best.
Even though Beth devotes many hours to her advisees, she spends her off time raising Teddy. Teddy is an 11 year old teddy bear who occupies much of Beth’s time. She is home schooling him and I understand his artwork is coming along very well. Beth occasionally brings Teddy to campus with her. Teddy recently accompanied Beth and friends on a driving vacation to Maine. Both "mom" and "son" had a great time. When Beth is not advising or spending time with Teddy she can be found in her garden pretending to be in touch with the universe. According to Beth, the rest of her spare time is spent smoking!
An avowed vegetarian, Beth’s favorite place to eat is Taco Bell. Her favorite meal is the Taco Bell bean burrito. When asked what her motto is, Beth gave two: "Rationalize everything!" and "You go girl!".
