Policies Regarding Employer Practices

The Office of Career Development has developed the following policies to ensure that PNC students and alumni are treated fairly and are being recruited for viable positions. The Office of Career Development reserves the right to deny recruiting priviledges (resume drops, on campus interviewing, career fairs, etc.) to any organization. Please see our Policy Page.

Internships
Our internship program can be an excellent way to obtain skilled temporary employees. The Office of Career Development can assist you in the development of your program. Just contact us. Already have an internship? Submit an Internship Vacancy Form and a job description and/or project outline.
All internships are subject to review for academic integrity as well as compliance with employment and wage and hour rules under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

On-Campus Recruiting
Want to increase your presence on our campus? On campus recruitment is another method that you can use increase your talent pool of qualified candidates. PNC's Office of Career Development offers the following On Campus Recruiting programs:

  1. Self-Scheduled: Employers may schedule an information session that is connected to a career fair and/or student organization. Self-scheduling requires coordination at least 30 days advance notification. Most employers find success in self scheduling a few weeks after an event.
  2. Pre-Select: Employers may posts jobs for free on our campus job board and pre-select candidates to whom they wish to interview. The Office of Career Development will set up the interview schedule for you, and you may conduct your interviews on campus or at your employment site.
  3. Open Schedule: Employers may post a job and have students immediately sign up for an interview.

    On campus recruitment programs are free of charge to an employer. We have found that employers that have the most success recruiting on our campus start early and coordinate their recruitment efforts with our office

Salary & Employment Data
Purdue University North Central's Office of Career Development conducts a Senior Exit Survey at the end of the Fall & Spring Semesters. This information is utilized to provide summary data on each graduating class. The data is used in many capacities by the University, but is most helpful to academic departments, current and prospective students and potential employers.

  • All information collected is strictly confidential and released only in aggregate form.
  • Information is never released identifying specific students or employer
