Steve graduated in 2003 from Willowbrook H.S. where he earned four varsity letters in baseball. His junior season he was 2nd team All-Conference and was nominated for the Junior All-Star game in Stevenson, IL. His senior year he was 1st team All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State. He earned plaudits for All-Fantasy Team for the Daily Herald and was Suburban Life Athlete of the Year.
Steve attended College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL from 2003-2005. His freshman season he was 2nd team All-Region and and lead the team in runs and SB's. His sophomore season he was 1st team All-Region and 2nd Team All-District where he hit .403 and lead the team in SB's and hits. Steve briefly attended Grand Valley State, but transferred to PNC after his first semester there. |
