Program Assessment

Academic programs at Purdue North Central continually assess their effectiveness through and report their results regularly.  Since 2008, all bachelor degree programs reported using an online assessment reporting tool called BALOTS (Boilermaker Accreditation and Learning Outcomes Tracking System).  More recently, the assessment steering committee conducted a survey and determined that the BALOTS reporting tool was not meeting the needs of the reports necessary for university-wide planning and was not considered useful by many assessment coordinators.  A more streamlined tool was developed in 2012 and is summarized in the following graphic organizer.
