Representatives of the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee
North Central Campus
January, 2006
In November of 1993, the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) was formed. The purpose of the committee is to provide members of the administrative and professional staff representative participation in the formulation or change of policies affecting conditions of employment. It also provides an effective means of communication between the administrative and professional staff and the campus administration. The committee acts in an advisory capacity to the campus administration and makes recommendations regarding personnel policies, staff benefits, or other issues of interest to Administrative Professional staff and/or campus administration.
APSAC is comprised of five members who are representative of administration and professional staff, one of whom is the representative to the West Lafayette campus. Appointments to APSAC are for a three-year term.
The requirements for eligibility on APSAC are that the individual must be an Administrative Professional employee of the North Central campus and employed on at least a .5 FTE basis.
The committee meets monthly. As an advisory committee, APSAC discusses and makes recommendations on issues related to administrative/professional staff employment at Purdue University North Central as well as having representation for those issues that affect all of Purdue.
The mission of the Administrative/Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) on the North Central campus is to provide support and serve as an advocate for administrative and professional staff at Purdue University North Central.
