When it comes to being active, you must be talking about Carol Kurmis. Carol is the Academic Coordinator for sSs here at Purdue North Central. She has been employed at PNC for 13 months and has a burning passion for her job. Carol earned her Bachelor's degree from PNC. While at PNC, Carol was student government president, vice president, and secretary serving for one year in each position. When asked what she likes best about PNC, she replied, “The students. The energy they bring to my job is contagious, exhilarating, and empowering.” Carol serves as an advisor to the TRIO Club and most recently was the recipient of “Advisor of the Year.” Carol is most proud of being a Charter Member for Kappa Delta PI.

In her spare time, Carol enjoys reading, quilting, and hanging out with family and friends. As for future goals, Carol would like to work on obtaining her Master's degree in education, teach part-time, and maybe write a book. As for her popular food, Carol is a big fan of authentic Mexican food or any authentic ethnic dish. Carol is extremely dedicated to her job and is a leader on the PNC campus.

Glen was born and raised in Detroit , Michigan . His mother was an elementary school teacher and his dad taught junior high vocational arts. Glen graduated from Kalamazoo College with a major in History and finished his Master's in Information Technology and Management from UNC-Greensboro in 2001. He has always had an interest in computers and was the first student while in high school to turn in a term paper on a computer printout. This interest in computers prompted him to become computer savvy and to pursue a career in the information services field. He was employed at Wake Forest University for six years as the academic computing specialist with the English Department before joining PNC in 2001. Glen married in 1989 to Debbi and they have two children, Melissa who is 6 ½ and Mathew who is 5. Glen and Debbi lived in North Carolina for about twelve years before they located to Valparaiso three years ago.

Glen keeps busy with church activities, the kids and also enjoys their Boston Terrier, Hammie, which is like another child. One of his favorite foods is his wife's homemade spaghetti. A favorite quote of Glen's comes from Martin Luther, "Peace if possible, the truth at all costs".
