Sue was raised in Chesterton. Soon after graduating from Chesterton High School she enrolled at Indiana University and earned a B.S. in Personnel-Labor Relations. It was while at IU when she met her husband, Ed, who also was earning his degree in the same field as Sue. She attended Indiana University Northwest to earn a Masters of Public Relations (MPA). While attending graduate school, she substitute taught at Chesterton Schools with all K-12 grade levels for about two years. She moved on to work for the City of Dayton, Ohio as the Personnel Analyst. She was at that position for approximately two years before being hired at McNeal Hospital in Berwyn , Illinois as their Compensation Analyst. She held that position for three years and then accepted a position with Marionjoy Rehabilitation Hospital as the Compensation Supervisor. After serving seven years in that capacity Sue was offered the position of Human Resources Director here at PNC in 1998.

Sue enjoys reading, golfing and attending her eleven year old son's, Sean's, sporting events. She has now been married for seventeen years and resides in Chesterton with her family and their dog, a black lab named Erin . Sue's favorite foods are just about anything that is seafood. One of her favorite phrases is "everything happens for a reason you just don't know what it is yet".
