ValPLAYso Alumni Team

Help Build Our Community.

There are over 2,000 Purdue North Central Alumni in the city of Valparaiso who can lend a hand to the ValPLAYso community build week.

The Valpo Parks foundation will host a community build week for their public park ValPLAYso. From October 6th through October 12th, members of the community will volunteer their time and skills to help build a beautifully and creatively designed addition to the ValPLAYso Park.  Learn more on the ValPLAYso facebook page.

The Purdue North Central Alumni Association has a volunteer team set up to work Monday, October 6th & Tuesday, October 7th. We are looking for PNC alumni, family and friends to join our team to make a difference in our community.   Volunteers can be skilled or unskilled.  Register today to lend a hand as a Purdue North Central Alumnus who wants to build a park for the next generation.  Let’s use our powerful alumni to our advantage and really help make a difference in our community!

As a thank you for your time and effort, the PNCAA will be providing you with a PNC Alumni gift for volunteering.

To obtain further information on becoming a member of our team, please contact Kevin Smith at or 219-785-5274.

For more information on the project, visit the Valpo Parks Foundation

ValPLAYso – The Next Generation playground is a project of the Valparaiso Parks Foundation, a 501c3 entity. The project is funded through public and private partnerships and receives no tax-payer funding.

2014 Commencement Reception

With the closing of the 2013 – 2014 school year coming to a close, we ended with a fantastic celebration at Valparaiso University to congratulate the new graduates! There was pizza, a live DJ, a live twitter feed, photo printing from instagram, and hundreds of attendees. The event was a blowout success. On behalf of the Alumni Association, we’d like to thank all of the graduates that attended and all of the faculty that helped make the event a success. All of it was fantastic, and we hope to see such a huge success in the coming years.

Here are just a couple of the pictures we shot during the event:

Over the course of the night, we had a twitter feed being displayed over one of the big screens in the auditorium. Everyone had a lot of fun with it and it’s given us some new ideas for what we want to do at the event next year!

Finally, we had a couple of videos played that we want to also share with those that weren’t able to make it because they were absolutely phenomenal!

 Congratulations Class of 2014!
