Mission Statement

Based on PNC's mission statement of learning, engagement, and discovery the primary mission of academic advising is to assist students in identifying and clarifying their academic directions and educational goals, and to help them develop and maintain effective plans and strategies for continued success. Comprehensive academic advising not only develops a foundation for student achievement but also for institutional excellence.

Philosophy of Academic Advising

Academic advising, when properly delivered, is an important tool in helping students make individual, educational, and career decisions. Quality academic advising promotes academic success, enhances student growth and development, amplifies student satisfaction, and increases retention by providing students with advisors who have the expertise to assist them throughout their college careers.
