FYE was developed in the summer of 2008 by a team of faculty from a wide variety of disciplines. The course gradually took shape around a series of questions, about the nature of education, the meaning of “prosperity” and “happiness” in the twenty-first century, and the way different academic disciplines register change.
The PNC first-year experience pilot program began this semester with three sections taught by professors from the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Science, and the College of Engineering and Technology.
