Dr. Jayasuriya is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. He is a Professor of Mathematics. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and joined PNC in 2011. |
Major responsibilities:

Director of Graduate Studies including liaison with the Purdue University Graduate School

Academic space

Student academic issues at the university level

Participate in implementation of the strategic plan and ongoing planning and institutional effectiveness efforts.

Support discovery by assisting faculty with external funding and promoting faculty-student research

Represent PNC and the VCAA

Work with external organizations
Leadership for:

Student success and degree completion initiatives

Joint projects with Enrollment Management and Student Services such as the enrollment management plan and implementation of degree audit and other academic software

Faculty mentoring of students (advising)

Budget and resource strategy and issues

Human resources management: searches, issues, and best practices

Professional development in Academic Affairs
Reporting to the AVCAA are the Director of Career Development, Service Learning Coordinator, Graduate Coordinator, and the administrative assistant who supports Institutional Research, Learning and Technology, and institutional accreditation. |
