Located in LaPorte
County, Purdue North Central is surrounded by
some of Indiana’s finest natural and man-made
attractions. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the
unique scenery of the Lake Michigan and the Indiana
Dunes National Lakeshore, countless acres of rolling
farmland that grace the countryside, and a variety
of smaller lakes and creeks that populate the region,
including Hudson and Tamarack Lakes and the Grand

major thoroughfares, including Interstate 94 and the
Indiana Toll Road, PNC is an hour’s drive from
both South Bend and Chicago. The South
Shore Line is available for those who prefer mass
transit, making regular weekday and weekend trips
from Chicago to South Bend, with two stations in Michigan City.

the county offers Lighthouse
Place Premium Outlets, which boasts more than
100 designer outlets. Plus LaPorte County visitors
will also find a variety of unique boutiques, coffee
houses, and eateries, including Kelly's Table and
Maxine’s Restaurant, which features live jazz
on weekend nights, and an extensive selection of antique
shops that line the City of LaPorte's main
street, Lincolnway.

enjoy the scenic hiking trails of the county’s
many parks, a county-wide network of bike paths which
links major destinations, and a variety of seasonal

Provence Festival, which

Lake Michigan’s Riviera. By night, visitors
enjoy such attractions as Michigan City’s Blue Chip Casino, theatrical
performances by the Footlight
